My choice to join Hebbia was not taken lightly. As a father of two young children, my next career decision was the most important of my life so far. I had three non-negotiable criteria:
- Future proofed tech
- High performance & empathetic culture
- Leadership that sets the right tone
After a six month period of multiple processes, extensive due diligence and rigorous back channelling, I chose Hebbia. Now in week two, I have been excited (and relieved!) to see those non-negotiables validated.
Hebbia is building something rare and durable. While much of the market is composed of businesses chasing PMF with surface-level LLM wrapper tech, Hebbia has a real moat—a lasting advantage that will strengthen as the category evolves. This is the kind of business worth committing to, the kind that can define a category, not just compete in one.
The standard of professionalism here is eye wateringly high in every function. It’s a team where clarity, rigour, and high standards aren’t aspirational, they’re expected. But that doesn't come at the cost of personal or family life outside the ropes; a critical factor for someone who doesn't want to miss these golden years with the kids. This optimal mix is exactly the environment I will scale in EMEA.
Finally, a decisive part of my decision was George Sivulka and Tom Reeson Price. George has rare clarity of thought, first-principles rigour, and the patience to build the company the right way. His vision and discipline show up across the product, culture, and ambition of Hebbia—and they’re contagious. Tom, is an old teammate from AppDynamics days and he combines the right blend of grit, playbook and empathy to they way he leads sales globally and the rate of growth this year speaks for itself.
On a lighter note, when I told my 5-year-old about the new role, he asked if I “work with robots now.” I said yes, more or less. He seemed satisfied, which I’m taking as a small endorsement.
I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves, building the EMEA business, and helping Hebbia scale with the same clarity, rigour, and ambition that defines the company today.
